Position: ITAM Technology Specialist

TekMethods, LLC is a rapidly growing and recognized leading IT Asset Management company specializing in assisting organizations in the management of their technology assets. The company works with its clients to assess their technology asset management needs, and provide tools and implementation expertise for managing the inventory, configuration, and contracts governing those assets, as well as the eventual disposal of mature assets.

TekMethods’ employees work from home offices when not traveling to client sites.

As part of the project team, the ITAM Technology Specialist works at the client’s site to ensure smooth interface between 3rd party software and the client’s infrastructure. This position reports to the Director of Technical Services.

Specifications include:

• Experience in the field of IT Asset Management a must.
• Acts as a consultant in the areas of conceptual and physical database design, development, implementation and maintenance.
• Works with the Project Manager to design and specify system interfaces. Plans, coordinates, and establishes protocol.
• Designs, implements, and tests software and related tools and procedures using Oracle, SQL, or other relational databases.
• Installs 3rd party products on client’s Windows infrastructure. Develops and tests interfaces. Provides tuning improvements to optimize database designs, queries, and stored procedurs.
• Determines and clearly defines problems and communicates resolutions/solutions to team members.
• Ability to write customization programming preferred.
• HP Peregrine, Altiris, or Computer Associate's Unicenter experience preferred.

Education: Bachelor’s Degree in computer science, engineering, or other related field; Master's degree desirable.

Experience: Extensive knowledge of network operating systems, applications, and development tools including network management applications, database applications, application development tools, and commercial software. Advanced mastery of PC, internet, intranet, and related technologies essential. Five to Ten years experience required.
